It gets rid of the scrolling text and makes many other interface modifications that are *very* nice.ītw, as you really seem to like the auction house, you might want to consider a tradeskills profession instead of just gathering professions. The only problem with them is that unless you run a mod you can't see both of them on your mini-map.įor the scrolling quests, use cosmos. Mining should bring you in very good money, and herb gathering is also very good. Ill post more as i get more involved in the game. (i havent tried the mod yet, will try it in the next 2 days). and the UI really needs to be made more EQ2 like. The models are so similar to each other its ridiculous. I hate the scrolling quest when you get a quest. give the person who thought of this a raise. I think i have a little under 3g in gold and only lvl 11, not sure if thats good or bad, but im not short of anything equipment wise. But its still a tons of fun.Īs to the professions, i remember what you said about herbalism and might actually give that a try, but as im capped at what i can mine/gather/skin i choose mining, skinning. Coming in at the point im at, means that the market is totally wacked. This right now is by far the most enjoyable thing in the game. I must say that this game has many high's and low's, and im suprised to say that its quite enjoyable. If you enjoy exploring mostly rather than competitive play (unsportsmanlike or otherwise ), a normal or roleplay server would be a better choice as you'd be free to discover the horde zones as well unmolested unless you attack a PvP-flagged NPC or switch on PvP mode manually. Or if you do, play one of the horde races as most griefers and gankers belong to the horde, and you can't gank a player on your own side. Oh, and if you hate griefers and gankers and such, don't play on a PvP server. If you don't like being frustrated, take things more slowly and carefully. So if you enjoy challenges, seek monsters at or slightly above your level. Ok, I know there are uber players that can take on elite monsters above their own level and still live etc, but I speak from my own experience with my hunter (level 56 now). Not fun at all! VERY hard, could be fatal. Three levels above, you might have a hard time with just ONE monster attacking and two at once could be deadly unless you're a mage or such that can freeze your attackers and simply run away.įour levels above. Two levels above would be a really serious one. Two monsters one level above could be a hard battle. Start fighting monsters ABOVE your level tho. Some classes could probably handle three monsters easily, particulary those that can use shields. With proper use of support skills etc, you should be able to defeat two monsters that attacks you directly without going critical on the health. If you're say level 30, you should be able to easily handle monsters your own level. You'll certainly gain gold a lot faster that way. You'll probably gain experience faster overall by fighting lower-level monsters. While you get more experience for beasties at, or above your own level, those a few levels below (1-3) do a lot less damage to you, die much faster, and don't give that much less experience. This is particulary true for two-hand weapons these tend to do lots more damage than one-handed, and be a lot slower too. Thus you are more dependent on a high weapon skill for slow weapons than for fast ones, as higher skill = fewer misses. Of course, if you miss or get blocked with a slow weapon, your DPS goes down more than after a miss with a fast weapon that gives lower DPS. What is important most of the time is your DPS damage per second figure. Faster-swinging weapons do less damage, but trains the skill in that weapon quicker. Quick tip: please note that for weapons, some swing faster and some swing slower (same with ranged weapons too). Most of the stuff in the game is self-explanatory anyway. Better just play the game until you hit a snag and then start asking around for a solution to your problem. Click to expand.Yeah, you will have to do a LOT of wading if you want to learn stuff there, omigosh.
